a space for beauty, words & quiet reflections

Writing is how
I make sense of the world.

Some people keep journals. Some collect photographs. Others travel. I write.

I write about beauty, memory, places, people, music, fashion, aging, identity, virtual worlds, and the strange moments that refuse to leave us long after they have passed.

I have always been fascinated by the things people overlook. A quiet café. An old photograph. A forgotten street. A woman in a little black dress. A piece of music heard at exactly the right moment.

Opaline Light is where I explore those questions. Part cultural journal, part personal reflection, part curiosity cabinet.

Along the way, I am often accompanied by a peculiar trio of literary ghosts. Mark Twain sits in the corner, amused by human nature. Charles Bukowski reminds me that life is usually found far from perfection. Ambrose Bierce occasionally sharpens his pen and raises an eyebrow at everything.

I write not because I have everything figured out. I write because I am still searching. And perhaps you are too.

Put the kettle on.
Stay a while.
